And our oil refinery process introduction as below:
First step, degumming, remove the soluble gum impurities of crude oil
If the phospholipid content of edible oil is high, when heating oil, bubles, smoke and stink easily appear . And phospholipid oxidates at high temperature, it'll change the oil color into brown, it affect the flavor of fried food .
Phospholipid and partial proteins dissolve in water under the condition of suwage , but they will form hydrate by connecting with water, hydrate is insoluble in oil, so we could remove phopholipid and partial proteins by adding hot water and steam, heating the oil and stiring oil at 50 ℃ , then static placing and layering, separating out water , then phospholipid and partial proteins are discharged too .
Second step, deacidification, free fatty acids affect the stability and flavor of oil, free fatty acid could be removed by alkali neutralization .
Third step, crude oil contains chlorophyll, carotenoid and other pigments , cholorophyll is a photosensive agent, it affect the stability of oil, and other pigments affect the appearance of oil , they can be removed by using adsorbent .
Fourth step, deodourization, crude oil contains some non-required stink substances , mianly derived from lipid oxidation products, it can be removed by reducing pressure distillation and adding citric acid, chelating excessive metal ion , inhibiting oxidation .
Other equipments are all served for the four functions, such as steam generator offer hot steam for degumming tank , alkaline water tank offer alkaline water for deacidification tank and etc.
